Call for Abstracts
Preliminary abstracts due January 15, 2008
The 2008 Design of Medical Devices conference invites high quality technical submissions from the academic, clinical and industry medical device community. The Design of Medical Devices Conference is the leading international forum for medical devices The DMD conference is unique in its ability to mix academic engineering and clinical researchers with clinicians and industry medical device developers in a neutral format. The 2008 conference is the seventh in the series which in 2007 had over 800 registrants.
Contributed abstracts for the scientific poster session will be accepted in the following technical tracks: Cardiovascular, Neurotechnology, MEMS/Nano, Product and Business Development, Ophthalmic Engineering, Image-Guided Surgery, Dental Engineering, Biomaterials and Device Design.
The 200-250 word preliminary abstract should include the objectives, results and significance of the study that will be presented at the conference. Preliminary abstracts are due January 15, 2008.
Abstracts will be peer reviewed and authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to present at the Scientific Poster Session of the DMD conference. In addition, authors of accepted posters will submit a 250 word final abstract for publication in the ASME
Journal of Medical Devices. Authors are encouraged to expand their abstracts into full length papers for submission to the ASME Journal of Medical Devices through its normal journal article submission process.
By accepting the invitation to present, the author commits to registering and attending the conference.
